Wellness Education • Coaching • Mindfulness Development

Welcome to, The MelloWest Space. My mission is to create a customized approach to health and wellness, pairing yoga with personal coaching to keep everyone’s goals in focus and dreams in motion. Through tailored techniques, I provide direction, support, feedback, and structure so you or staff may thrive in both personal life and profession. Along the way, we will learn and honor the important connection between mind and body, a modality that will stay with everyone whether on or off the mat. In the MelloWest way, we move with intent and zeal, pushing ourselves, our peers, and our communities towards success.

Wellness Facilitation for Whole-Person Healing

As a wellness facilitator, I offer an integrative approach to support both individuals and teams in feeling more connected, grounded, and unstuck. My work weaves together coaching, sound baths, yoga, and meditation to create space for restoration, clarity, and meaningful change.

With numerous certifications in coaching and yoga, along with years of experience in social justice and community healing, I bring a trauma-informed, culturally responsive lens to every session. I honor that each person’s journey is unique, and draw from a range of modalities which include somatic practices, breathwork, mindfulness, sound healing, and more, to co-create a customized path toward every person’s wellbeing.

Whether you or your workforce are navigating burnout, transitions, grief, or growth, I can support in slowing down, tuning in, and moving forward with intention. This is your space to reconnect with yourself, your body, and what truly matters.

Black woman Yoga and Wellness Coach Bay Area

DeShauna West Anderson, MA

Based in the Bay Area, California, DeShauna holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, with additional coursework in Forensic Psychology. Her early work supporting foster youth through Alameda County Social Services shaped her holistic understanding of how stress, trauma, and lived experiences manifest in the body.

This awareness led DeShauna to explore the intersection of neuroscience, mindfulness, and spiritual practice. Through Ashtanga yoga, life coaching, and advanced teacher training in power vinyasa (300+ hours), she developed an integrative approach that blends the science of mindfulness with a spiritual perspective to create inclusive, client-centered spaces for growth and healing.

DeShauna partnerships include UC Berkeley, Surge Institute, San Francisco Women Against Rape, Backroads, Earth Island, Blooming Willow Coaching, Be The Change, Brothers on the Rise and many more to offer a hybrid of wellness services. Her work is rooted in partnership, empowerment, and sustainability, guided by her belief that health is a state of body, and wellness is a state of existence.

When not working, DeShauna enjoys time with her husband and daughter, caring for her animals and plants, traveling, and learning the history of the places she visits.
